The Arizona Heart Foundation School of Ultrasound offers specialized programs in cardiac, vascular, and pediatric echocardiography, each designed to equip students with the necessary skills for a career in sonography.

1. Cardiac & Vascular Ultrasound Program
This 12-month accelerated program provides comprehensive training in both cardiac and vascular sonography. Students engage in over 35 hours per week, totaling 1,678 hours, including 800 clinical hours. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing students to begin scanning real patients in the first week. The program is available at both the Phoenix and Tucson campuses, with start dates in January, April, July, and October for Phoenix, and January and July for Tucson.
2. DMS & Vascular Ultrasound Program
Focused solely on vascular sonography, this 12-month accelerated program mirrors the structure of the Cardiac & Vascular program, with over 35 hours per week and a total of 1,678 hours, including 800 clinical hours. Students begin practical scanning in the first week. The program is offered at the Phoenix campus, with start dates in January and July.
3. Pediatric Ultrasound Program
Designed for individuals already certified as Registered Cardiac Sonographers (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS), this 6-month accelerated program specializes in pediatric echocardiography. Students commit to over 35 hours per week, totaling 1,678 hours, including 800 clinical hours, and begin scanning real patients in the first week. The program is available at the Tucson campus, with a start date in January.
4. Tuition & Fees
The tuition fees for the programs are as follows:
• Cardiac & Vascular Ultrasound Program: $34,900
• Vascular Ultrasound Program: $34,900
• Pediatric Echocardiography Program: $19,900
These fees include tuition, textbooks, equipment, supplies, and a one-time national certification exam fee. Additional expenses may include a $200 one-time registration fee, fingerprint clearance card, background check, 12-panel drug screening, current BLS or ACLS card, medical insurance, and any testing requirements for clinical sites. The foundation offers financing options through Climb Credit but does not provide Title IV federally funded aid.
